For certain projects, a formal notification is required to transfer entire wrecks or specific waste streams resulting from remediation. In such cases, KOOLE partners with Cores, leveraging our expertise and contacts to streamline the notification process. We ensure the submission to the authorities is formatted correctly and completed in full compliance with requirements.
The Most Exciting Project So Far? Gibraltar!
In August 2022, the 178-meter bulk carrier OS-35 collided with the LNG tanker Adam LNG near Gibraltar and sank. KOOLE Contractors successfully salvaged the ship, loading the wreck onto their semi-submersible barge, FJORD. We ensured that the transport complied with all necessary regulations and assisted with the notification procedure.
KOOLE brought the OS35 to The Netherlands to be salvaged, and we were able to see it arrive in person.
In addition to Gibraltar, there have been projects in Sint Maarten, Ireland, the Bahamas, and Germany.
